The program kicked some outstanding goals including baseline objective data in: creativity and innovation skills, self-concept/self esteem, emotional intelligence, physical health (fitness) and the importance of good diet and nutrition.

Yokine Young Leaders Group and their SCA Coaches on the Final Session

One of the ‘light house’ activities of the program was these selected Year 6 students established their own Charter of Values and Behaviors they will uphold as exemplar leaders of Yokine in 2025.
The charter as Shown in the photo cascades down from the established school values of Respect, Resilience and Responsibility and the forth value established by this group, Empathy. Each young leader had to sign the charter to confirm they will be ambassadors for the Charter’s behaviors. They will be audited by their peers and staff during the year by SCA to evaluate their roles as school leaders.
These results will be shared with the group to ensure ‘best practice’. The wonderful enthusiasm of this group and their thirst for leadership knowledge was reflected in all activities and their objective and narrative feedback reinforced this program hit the marl.
